Career

Anquetil started playing at his hometown club Gonfreville l'Orcher HB. In 1988 he joined Montpellier Handball which at the time played in the second tier of French handball. In 1992 he was promoted with the team to the top league in France. His finest accomplishment at club level came on 2003, when he won the

with the club. Additionally, he won the French championship in 1995, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. He debuted for the French national team on December 20, 1994 against Norway in a preparation match for the 1995 World Championship.
