History

Glen Allen was settled ''circa'' 1870 and incorporated as a town in 1906. It was situated along the St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway.

2023 Tornado

In the early morning hours of April 5, 2023, an EF-2 tornado ripped through Glen Allen causing widespread destruction and a number of injuries, including five fatalities.
