, Geiger Heights contains 226 single-family and duplex style homes, all single story. The Air Force decided to close the housing development post 9-11 due to security concerns and a desire to have personnel living on a protected base. The last resident from Fairchild moved out in 2004 and the houses remained empty for a few years until they went on to the public market. The development is now privately owned and called Windsor Crossing. Windsor Elementary School, on the north side of Hallett Road across from the residential subdivision was initially built in 1960 and has been remodeled three times: in 1993, 2002 and 2019. Westwood Middle School, located right next to the elementary school, was built in 2012.
