Faurecia was formed in 1998 by two automotive component suppliers, Bertrand Faure and ECIA. It designs and manufactures seats, exhaust systems, interior systems (dashboards, centre consoles, door panels, acoustic modules) and decorative aspects of a vehicle (aluminium, wood).
