Fishersville has four public schools, all part of Augusta County Public Schools, including Wilson Elementary School, Wilson Middle School, Wilson Memorial High School, and Valley Vocational Career and Technical Center. It also is home to Wilson Workforce & Rehabilitation Center, formerly known as the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, a residential vocational training center operated by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Historical sites

The Tinkling Spring area is the site of Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church, founded in 1740, and served by pastor Robert Lewis Dabney from 1852–1857.
