Farrokhi has its local dialect, called Farvi or Farvigi, a variety of the West Iranian language spoken in southern Biabanak district.

. The following census in 2011 counted 2,502 people in 724 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Khur and Biabanak County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District, and Farrokhi was elevated to the status of a city. The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 2,968 people in 909 households.
