Regarding the film's depiction of Ireland, Giovanna Rampazzo wrote that despite ''Ek Tha Tiger'' presenting political themes, it "carefully avoided representing any complexity or social issues n favourof a charming and cosmopolitan Irish capital, constructing a simplistic image of Ireland that requires a minimum of cross-cultural understanding or critical engagement ythe viewer".
