History

Delley is first mentioned in 1342 as ''Deler''. Portalban is first mentioned in 1166 as ''Portubanni''.

Delley-Portalban has an area, , of . Of this area, or 64.0% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 13.5% is forested. Of the rest of the land, or 12.0% is settled (buildings or roads), or 0.6% is either rivers or lakes and or 9.9% is unproductive land.
