The Devil's Advocate Unit (, ''Makhleket HaBakara'' – lit. "the comptroller department")" is a small unit
in the Israeli
Military Intelligence Directorate. Its purpose is to evaluate intelligence assumptions and products in a professional and critical manner, including serving as the "
Devil's advocate
