The racial makeup of the unorganized territory was 98.05% White, 0.91% Native American, 0.27% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.12% from other races, and 0.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.49%. Of the 1,304 households 28.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.2% were married couples living together, 3.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% were non-families. 20.3% of households were one person and 7.7% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 2.87. The age distribution was 23.3% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 23.9% from 25 to 44, 32.1% from 45 to 64, and 13.8% 65 or older. The median age was 43 years.
