The electoral district was created as "Dauphin" riding in 1903 from
Macdonald,
Marquette and
Saskatchewan (Provisional District) ridings.
In 1983, it was renamed "Dauphin–Swan River".
In 2004, it was renamed "Dauphin–Swan River–Marquette".
