The library was established in 1949. In 2019,
Kazakhstan Kazakhstan, officially the Republic of Kazakhstan, is a landlocked country primarily in Central Asia, with a European Kazakhstan, small portion in Eastern Europe. It borders Russia to the Kazakhstan–Russia border, north and west, China to th ...
opened the ''Literature and Culture Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan'' at the library. Around 1,000 books of various topics were also donated to the library. In 2022, the Embassy of Australia donated various Mongolian and English books to the library.
