Professional career

A point guard, Gajić played for KK Partizan, Partizan, KK Crvena zvezda, Crvena zvezda, PBC Academic, Lukoil Academic, KK Sloga, Sloga, KK Bosna Royal, Bosna, APOEL B.C., APOEL, BC Khimik, Khimik, KK Igokea, Igokea, Ilysiakos B.C., Ilysiakos, KK Radnički Kragujevac (2009–2014), Swisslion Takovo, KK Napredak Kruševac, Napredak Kruševac, and AEK Larnaca B.C., AEK Larnaca. He retired as a player with AEK Larnaca in 2012.


National team career

In July 1999, Gajić was a member of the Serbia men's national under-16 basketball team, Yugoslavia U16 national team that won the gold medal at the 1999 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, European Championship for Cadets in Slovenia. Over eight tournament games, he averaged 6.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. At the tournament's end, he picked up the FIBA U16 European Championship#MVP Awards (since 1999), Most Valuable Player award. In July 2000, Gajić was a member of the Serbia men's national under-18 basketball team, Yugoslavia U18 team that won the gold medal at the 2000 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship, FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship in Zadar, Croatia. Over five tournament games, he averaged 3 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
