, where he finished his degree in 2008. In 2005 he was elected for the ''regionsråd'', and became the Social Democrats political spokeperson in 2009. In 2013 he was elected for the Horsens Municipal Council, where he held the position for a single period. In 2016 he became the vice-chairperson of the Central Jutland regionsråd. At the 2017 Danish local elections, he was elected chairperson. He was chosen as the socialdemocratic candidate to replace Bent Hansen.
