He was named All-State, All-Region, to the NACA All-tournament team, the conference's Most Valuable Player, the Regional Tournament Most Valuable Player, and the Garden City Classic Most Valuable Player.

Stevens joined
Florida A&M in 2009. He played three seasons for the school. In his junior season, he averaged 17.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.
In 84 games with Florida A&M in his career, he averaged 11.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steal per game.
