The allocations for Steps 3 and 4 this season were announced by

(FA) on 17 May 2024. There were to be 88 teams in the Southern League, 22 in each of the four divisions. However,
Coalville Town, who were due to have competed in the Premier Division Central, subsequently resigned from the Southern League; their place was filled by
Hitchin Town who were reprieved from relegation to Division One Central leaving an unfilled vacancy in that division, which therefore comprised 21 teams instead of 22.
