The season began on 23 August 2024, and went into the winter break after the 15th matchday on 22 December. With the 16th matchday, the season continued on 10 January 2025. The final 34th matchday was scheduled for 17 May 2025. The regular season is played as a

A total of 18 teams participate in the 2024–25 edition of the Bundesliga, 16 of which competed in the league campaign during the previous season, while the remaining two were promoted from the 2. Bundesliga.
