Conference matrix

This table summarizes the head-to-head results between teams in conference play. Each team was scheduled to play 20 conference games, and at least one game against each opponent. However, the February 15 game between Michigan State and Minnesota was canceled due to the Michigan State shooting, meaning those teams would only play 19 conference games. The Big Ten Conference led the nation in average attendance with 12,063 fans per game, which outpaced the SEC (11,344), Big 12 (10,703), ACC (9,949) and Big East (9,907). Indiana (6th), Illinois (9th), Wisconsin (11th), Maryland (13th), Purdue (14th), Iowa (24th), Michigan (27th), Nebraska (28th) and Ohio State (30th) were among the top schools in terms of total attendance.
