2001–02 season.
The season was suspended by the league officials on March 12, 2020, after several other professional and collegiate sports organizations followed suit as a result of the ongoing

. On May 26, the NHL regular season was officially declared over with the remaining games being cancelled. When the season ended, the Ducks ranked sixth in the Pacific Division and had a record of 29–33–9. This is the first time since the
2001–02 season that the Ducks missed the playoffs for consecutive years.
