Round and draw dates

The schedule of the competition was as follows. However, matches in the round of 16 and quarter-finals could be played outside of the scheduled dates. On 23 September 2014, UEFA announced a change to the schedule of the semi-finals and finals, which were originally due to take place on 24 and 27 April respectively.

The 32 teams were drawn into eight groups of four, with the group compositions being the same as in the draw for the
