Scottish Women's Premier League

(SWPL), with matches played between August and November 2009.
Although linked to the
2009 Scottish Women's Premier League which had only one round of fixtures as the schedule was transitioned from autumn-spring to summer, the SWPL Cup was played in its normal format and in the same dates as in previous seasons, finishing a year after the
2008–09 final; instead it was the next edition which differed significantly, as it remained an early-season competition but was completed in the first half of a calendar year; the
2010 final was played only 6 months after the 2009 final.
