For the 1993–94 UEFA Cup, the associations are allocated places according to their 1992
UEFA country coefficients, which takes into account their performance in European competitions from 1987–88 to 1991–92. Therefore, it did not include any of the new football federations that had joined UEFA in the previous years, including competing associations
