Georgia was the No. 2 seed in the Midwest region of the NCAA tournament. They defeated North Carolina, Indiana, and No. 1 seed Tennessee to reach the first NCAA Final Four in program history. In the National semifinal game, Georgia was defeated by the eventual National champions, USC.
