Three Shippensburg players were selected by the conference coaches as first-team players on the 1953 All-PSTCC football team: Adams; George Cherry at center; and Spencer Keyes at halfback. Tackle Charles Burnheimer was named to the second team. The team's assistant coaches were Tom Crist and John Bay. Crist was responsible for the backs, and Bay had responsibility for linebackers and scouting.
