district. It is a residential area with mid-rise apartment buildings. The neighbourhood has an area of 2.4 km2, and in 2015, had population of 16,034 people. In the 14th century, there was founded a farming community, and the area was incorporated into the city in 1911. First mid-rise housing was developed in the early 20th century, and futher expanded in the 1990s and the 1980s.


History

Świerczewo (then known as ''Schwarzow''), was settled in the 14th century, as a farming community.
