. It is a poem of spiritual protection against evil spirits and it was presented to the Buddha by one of the "Four Great Heavenly Kings", King Vessavana (Pali; Sanskrit: Vaiśravana). It also contains a description of the celestial kingdoms of Four Heavenly Kings.
