Thenewno2
Thenewno2 (styled as thenewno2) is an English alternative rock band from London. Originally composed of Dhani Harrison and Oliver Hecks, with Harrison playing lead guitar and singing lead vocals, and Hecks playing drums and synthesizer. As of 2014, the band consisted of Harrison, Jonathan Sadoff, Jeremy Faccone, Paul Hicks, Aaron Older and Frank Zummo. The name "Thenewno2" is a reference to the 1960s British television show ''The Prisoner''. Thenewno2 have been credited with the album design for George Harrison's '' Brainwashed'' and '' Dark Horse Years'' box set, and for ''Concert for George'', and the menu design for the 2005 ''Concert for Bangladesh'' DVD. Hecks was the still photographer for the Concert for George in 2002, and some of his photographs appear in Genesis Publications' limited-edition book from the same event. ''The Fear of Missing Out'' (stylised as ''thefearofmissingout'') is the second studio album by the alternative rock group thenewno2. H.O.T. Records released it on 31 July 2012. The album was produced by band members Dhani Harrison and Paul Hicks using the name "pHd". As part of the promotion for the album, thenewno2 released the track "Make It Home" on the band's Facebook page as well as to members of the band's website e-mail listing, with the publication ''Rolling Stone'' additionally receiving the single. Dhani Harrison
Dhani Harrison (; born 1 August 1978) is an English musician, composer and singer-songwriter. He is the only child of George and Olivia Harrison. Dhani debuted as a professional musician assisting in recording his father's final album, '' Brainwashed'', and completing it with the assistance of Jeff Lynne after his father's death in November 2001. Harrison formed his own band, thenewno2, in 2002 and has performed at festivals, including Coachella, where Spin magazine dubbed their performance as one of the "best debut performances of the festival." The band also played Lollapalooza three times, with Harrison joining the festival's founder Perry Farrell on a cover of The Velvet Underground's "Sweet Jane" at 2010's event. Paul Hicks (musician)
Paul Hicks is a British musician, audio engineer and mixer, who got his start working at Abbey Road Studios in London. Hicks has worked with several notable artists, including Coldplay, Elliott Smith, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, in addition to his own band thenewno2. Hicks has also been heavily involved in preserving the recordings of the Beatles, working with Giles Martin in remixing and remastering their entire catalogue. He has won three Grammy Awards for his work on Beatles projects. His father is Hollies guitarist Tony Hicks. He is a member of Dhani Harrison's band thenewno2. Joseph Arthur (born September 28, 1971) is an American singer-songwriter and artist from Akron, Ohio. He is best known for his solo material, and as a member of Fistful of Mercy and RNDM. Arthur has built his reputation over the years through critically acclaimed releases and constant touring; his unique solo live performances often incorporate the use of a number of distortion and loop pedals, and his shows are recorded live at the soundboard and made available to concertgoers immediately following the show on recordable media. The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (commonly called the Coachella Festival or simply Coachella) is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. Genesis Publications Limited is a British publishing company founded in 1974 by Brian Roylance, a former student of the London College of Printing. His aim was to create a company in the traditions of the private press, true to the arts of printing and book binding. The Concert for George was held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 29 November 2002 as a memorial to George Harrison on the first anniversary of his death. The event was organised by Harrison's widow, Olivia, and his son, Dhani, and arranged under the musical direction of Eric Clapton. The profits from the event went to the Material World Charitable Foundation, an organisation founded by Harrison.
