The Used
The Used is an American rock band from Orem, Utah, formed in 2000. The group consists of vocalist Bert McCracken, bassist Jeph Howard, drummer Dan Whitesides, and guitarist Joey Bradford. Former members include Quinn Allman, Branden Steineckert, and Justin Shekoski. The band rose to fame in June 2002 after releasing their self-titled debut album. They followed up with their second album, '' In Love and Death'', in September 2004 and their third album, ''Lies for the Liars'', in May 2007. ''Shallow Believer'', an EP that featured most of the band's B-sides, was released in February 2008. Their fourth studio album, '' Artwork'', was released in August 2009. Orem is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States, in the northern part of the state. It is adjacent to Provo, Utah, Provo, Lindon, Utah, Lindon, and Vineyard, Utah, Vineyard and is approximately south of Salt Lake City. Toxic Positivity
Toxic positivity (excessive positivity or positive toxicity) is dysfunctional emotional management without the full acknowledgment of negative emotions, particularly anger and sadness. Socially, it is the act of dismissing another person's negative emotions by suggesting a positive emotion instead. ''Heartwork'' is the eighth studio album by American rock band the Used. It was released on April 24, 2020, on Big Noise. Background In mid-2019, the Used signed to their long-time friend and producer John Feldmann's record label Big Noise. They started recording the album in June 2019, took a break to headline the Disrupt Festival tour, and finished recording the album in November 2019. A music video for the single "Blow Me" was released in December 2019, "Paradise Lost, a poem by John Milton" in February, and "Cathedral Bell" in April. This is the first album to feature Joey Bradford on guitar after Justin Shekoski left in 2018. The album was released as double album on October 27, 2017, through Hopeless Records and is dedicated to Tregen Lewis, a friend of singer Bert McCracken's, who shot himself in Provo Canyon about a week after ceasing use of anti-depressants. It is the only studio album to feature guitarist Justin Shekoski since Quinn Allman's departure in 2015. ''The Canyon'' was highly acclaimed by critics and fans alike and appeared on many best-of-the-year lists, though sales were relatively disappointing as the album peaked at 50 on the Billboard 200. Imaginary Enemy is the final album to feature guitarist Quinn Allman before he parted from the band in November 2015.
