The Saturdays
The Saturdays are an English-Irish girl group based in London, England. The group formed during the summer of 2007 and has been on hiatus since 2014. The lineup consists of Frankie Bridge, Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, and Vanessa White. They were formed through Fascination Records, a sub-division of Polydor Records, which gave them an instant record deal with the label. As soon as the contract was finalized, the Saturdays went on tour with Girls Aloud during their Tangled Up Tour. The group's music style is pop, but throughout their career, their management has experimented with dance-pop and electropop. Songwriters and producers Ina Wroldsen, Steve Mac, Camille Purcell, and Quiz & Larossi have helped create their music. Quiz & Larossi
Andreas Romdhane (a.k.a. Quiz) and Josef Larossi are a Swedish production duo. They have a studio based in the centre of Stockholm, Sweden. They have worked together since 1999 when they wrote songs for Lutricia McNeal. During their partnership, they have written/produced songs for a wide variety of acts such as Kelly Clarkson, The Pussycat Dolls, Il Divo, Geri Halliwell, Diana Ross, Alexandra Burke, The Saturdays and Westlife. "Forever Is Over" is a song by English-Irish girl group the Saturdays, from their second studio album, ''Wordshaker''. The song was released by music download, digital download on 5 October 2009 as the lead single from the album. ''Wordshaker'' is the second studio album by British-Irish girl group The Saturdays, released on 12 October 2009 through Fascination Records. It is the group's first album to feature a song where they are credited as writers. Upon release the album peaked at number nine on the UK Albums Chart, but the following week fell out of the top 30. In August 2010, the album was removed from digital music platforms, due to their EP '' Headlines!'' being released featuring some of the same material. In August 2018, the album returned to digital music platforms following a request to the label by the Pop Music Activism Twitter account. The album was preceded by the lead single "Forever Is Over", written by James Bourne and produced by The Runaways. The song peaked at number two in the UK Singles Chart. The Work Tour
The Work Tour was the debut headlining theatre tour by English-Irish girl group the Saturdays. The tour became the group's first headlining tour, but second time touring (after touring with Girls Aloud in 2008 as a support act for their Tangled Up Tour). The tour opened on 2 June 2009, and lasted for 24 shows, finishing on 7 July 2009. The tour featured all of their songs from their debut album (apart from "Vulnerable"), a medley of covers, and two new songs that would feature on their then untitled, and up-coming second studio album ''Wordshaker''. "Work" is a song by British-Irish girl group The Saturdays from their debut studio album, '' Chasing Lights'' (2008). The song was written by Ina Wroldsen, Harry Sommerdahl and Kalle Engström. It was released on 29 June 2009 as the album's fifth and final single. An accompanying music video was filmed on 16 May 2009 at Shepperton Studios. The video features a different beat to the single. The music video took concept of the band's debut tour The Work Tour. The music video would become the group's most viewed video at the time.
