Runge is a town in Karnes County, Texas, United States. The town is pronounced "Run-Gee". The population was 892 at the 2020 census. Geography Runge is located in eastern Karnes County at (28.885172, –97.712769), along Texas State Highway 72. Kenedy is to the southwest, and Yorktown is to the northeast. According to the United States Census Bureau, Runge has a total area of , of which , or 0.66%, are water. Climate The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Runge has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps. Runge (crater)
Runge is a Lunar craters, lunar impact crater in the Mare Smythii, along the eastern edge of the Moon. It lies less than one crater diameter to the north-northwest of the very similar crater Warner (crater), Warner. To the west-northwest is Haldane (lunar crater), Haldane, and due west is the smaller Talbot (crater), Talbot. Runge has been almost completely submerged by basaltic lava, leaving only a low, ring-shaped feature in the lunar mare. The rim has a gap at the southern end, and a pair of small craters lie near the exterior to either side of this opening. The depth of Runge from the lowest point in the northeastern quadrant to the highest point along the southern rim is approximately 590 meters.
