The chicken (''Gallus gallus domesticus'') is a domesticated subspecies of the red junglefowl (''Gallus gallus''), originally native to Southeast Asia. It was first domesticated around 8,000 years ago and is now one of the most common and widespread domesticated animals in the world. Chickens are primarily kept for chicken as food, their meat and egg as food, eggs, though they are also kept as pets. As of 2023, the global chicken population exceeds 26.5 billion, with more than 50 billion birds produced annually for consumption. Secondo Pollo
Secondo Pollo (2 January 1908 – 26 December 1941) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest and a chaplain who served in World War II. He died during a skirmish in 1941 in which a bullet struck him while he attended to a wounded comrade. Pollo received beatification from Pope John Paul II in 1998 during the latter's apostolic visit to Vercelli. Life Secondo Pollo was born in 1908 in Vercelli. He had an intense love for the Eucharist as a child and desired to become a priest during that time. The Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools oversaw his childhood education. At the age of eleven in 1919 he commenced his studies for the priesthood and remained there until the completion of his high school studies. He began his theological studies in Rome and in 1931 graduated in philosophical studies at the Pontifical Academy of St. Thomas Aquinas and in theological studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University. Stefanaq Pollo
Stefanaq Pollo (March 7, 1924 – May 15, 1997) was an Albanian academic, professor and historian during Communist Albania. Biography Pollo was born in Përmet, in a family originating in Frashër region. He was also a novelist and member of the Albanian organization " Vatra" which fought for the independence of Albania. Pollo graduated from elementary with high grades due to getting the education from his parents as well, and he developed an interest in science. He was distinguished for natural wisdom and willingness to learn from school in Përmet, and continued with high grades in the French Lyceum in Korçë. Here he studied history, literature and the Albanian language, as well as scientific formulation, interpretation and evaluative skills. Genc Pollo (born 7 April 1963 in Tirana) is an Albanian conservative politician. An Orthodox Christian and trained historian, Pollo was co-founder and first spokesman of the Albanian Democratic Party. He first became a member of the Albanian Parliament in 1996 and has held various ministerial posts since 2005. Early life and career Pollo was born in 1963 in Tirana. His father, Stefanaq Pollo was an academic, scholar, professor and historian. Adrián José Hernández Acosta (born 2 May 1983), known as Pollo, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Born in Mogán, Las Palmas, Pollo played youth football with UD Las Palmas. Pollo (sometimes stylized as POLLO) is a rap group formed in 2010 in São Paulo, Brazil by the MCs Luiz Tomim (also known as “Tomim”), Adriel de Menezes (also known as "AdR"), and DJ Kalfani. The band found fame with its hit “Vagalumes”, which has had over 30 million views on YouTube.
