Curtiss P-11 Hawk
The Curtiss P-6 Hawk is an American single-engine biplane fighter introduced into service in the late 1920s with the United States Army Air Corps and operated until the late 1930s prior to the outbreak of World War II. Design and development The Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company (which became the Curtiss-WCurtis-Wright Corporation (15 July 1929) supplied the USAAC with P-6s beginning in 1929. Operational history A fast and highly maneuverable aircraft for its time, the XP-6 prototype took second place in the 1927 U.S. National Air Races, and the XP-6A with wing surface radiator (engine cooling), radiators took first place, at 201 mph (323 km/h). The P-6 was flown in a variety of paint schemes depending on the squadron, the most famous being the "Snow Owl" Nose art, markings of the 17th Weapons Squadron, 17th Pursuit Squadron based at Selfridge Field near Detroit, Michigan. The P-6Es served between 1932 and 1937 with the 1st Pursuit Group (17th and 94th PS) at Self ...

Pseudomonas SRNA P11
''Pseudomonas'' sRNA P11 is a ncRNA that was predicted using bioinformatic tools in the genome of the opportunistic pathogen ''Pseudomonas aeruginosa'' and its expression verified by northern blot analysis. P11 is located between a putative threonine protein kinase and putative nitrate reductase and is conserved in several ''Pseudomonas'' species. P11 has a predicted Rho independent terminator at the 3′ Directionality, in molecular biology and biochemistry, is the end-to-end chemical orientation of a single strand of nucleic acid. In a single strand of DNA or RNA, the chemical convention of naming carbon atoms in the nucleotide pentose-sugar-ri ... end but the function of P11 is unknown. Painters Eleven
Painters Eleven (also known as Painters 11) was a group of abstract artists active in Canada between 1953 and 1960. They are associated with the Abstract Expressionist movement. History Since the 1920s, artists in English Canada had been heavily influenced by the landscape painting of the Group of Seven, and starting in 1930s, the Canadian Group of Painters. The Canadian public often regarded modernist movements such as Cubism, Surrealism and Abstract Expressionism as bizarre and subversive. The acquisition of modernist paintings, even Impressionist works, by public galleries was invariably a source of controversy. In Quebec, Paul-Émile Borduas and Jean-Paul Riopelle spearheaded the modernist collective known as Les Automatistes, as early as 1941. However, their artistic influence was not quickly felt in English Canada, or indeed much beyond Montreal. Painters Eleven was the first abstract painting group in Ontario. Formation In 1953, Toronto artists Oscar Cahén, Walte ...

Norton P11
The Norton P11 is a air-cooled OHV parallel twin motorcycle that was made by Norton-Villiers from 1967 to 1969. Designed as an extremely light high power-to-weight ratio desert racer, P11 was revised in 1968 to the P11A and marketed as the Norton Ranger, a road legal version of the P11 with a more comfortable seat to make it suitable for normal road use. The Norton P11 gained a reputation as a ' desert racer' in the late 1960s but by 1969 lighter two stroke desert racers began to dominate the sport and the Norton had begun Commando production and it was selling well. Norton ended production of the P11 series to concentrate on the Commando, which used a number of ideas developed on the P11 series. Development Norton-Villiers developed the P11 from the Norton Atlas and Norton/Matchless N15CS and G15CS models as an export model for the growing sport of desert racing. Prototyped by Californian Norton Distributor Bob Blair using the Atlas ''750 cc'' twin cylinder engine in a ...

First generation (P10; 1990) Since 1986, Nissan had been building Bluebirds — essentially a rebadged home market Auster/Stanza – for the market in Europe at its factory in Washington, Tyne and Wear, England. Nissan showcased the Primera X concept car at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show as part of Project 901 (Nissan's performance vision for 1990), and concept car UV.X at the 1989 Frankfu ...

Pioneer 11
''Pioneer 11'' (also known as ''Pioneer G'') is a NASA robotic space probe launched on April 5, 1973, to study the asteroid belt, the environment around Jupiter and Saturn, the solar wind, and cosmic rays. It was the first probe to Exploration of Saturn, encounter Saturn, the second to fly through the Asteroid belt#Exploration, asteroid belt, and the second to fly by Jupiter. Later, ''Pioneer 11'' became the List of artificial objects leaving the Solar System, second of five artificial objects to achieve an escape velocity allowing it to Solar System#Farthest regions, leave the Solar System. Due to power constraints and the vast distance to the probe, the last routine contact with the spacecraft was on September 30, 1995, and the last good engineering data was received on November 24, 1995. Mission background History Approved in February 1969, ''Pioneer 11'' and its twin probe, ''Pioneer 10'', were the first to be designed for exploring the outer Solar System. Yielding to multip ...

P11 Protein
S100 calcium-binding protein A10 (S100A10), also known as p11, is a protein that is encoded by the ''S100A10'' gene in humans and the ''S100a10'' gene in other species. S100A10 is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing two EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells. They regulate a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. The S100 protein is implicated in exocytosis and endocytosis by reorganization of F-actin. The p11 protein is linked with the transport of neurotransmitters. Found in the brain of humans and other mammals, it has been implicated in the regulation of mood. In addition, due to its interaction with serotonin-signaling proteins and its correlation with symptoms of mood disorders, p11 is a new potential target for drug therapy. Gene The S100 gene family, localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus of cells, includes at least 13 members that are ...

Kel-Tec P-11
The KelTec P11 is a compact, semi-automatic, short-recoil operated pistol chambered in 9 mm Luger. Discontinued in 2019, the P11 was manufactured by Kel-Tec CNC Industries of Cocoa, FL from 1995 to 2019. Design and specifications The P11 was designed by Swedish-born George Kellgren, the designer of many earlier Husqvarna (Sweden), Intratec, and Grendel brand firearms. The P11 used an aluminum receiver inside a polymer grip housing held on with polymer pins. The slide, barrel, and magazine were steel. The standard magazine held 10 rounds. At unloaded, the handgun itself was comparatively light. The P11 lacked an external manual safety, relying instead on a long and heavy double action only trigger pull, which requires 9 pounds of pressure, to prevent accidental discharge. A firing pin spring and low-mass hammer prevented discharge if the gun was dropped. The P11 would also accept some Smith & Wesson 59 series magazines.
