Grigore Leșe
Grigore Leșe (born in 1954) is a Romanian musician. Biography Leşe was born in 1954 in Stoiceni village, Maramureș County in northern Romania. He graduated from the Music College in Baia Mare, followed by the Music Academy in Cluj. In 2003 he received a Ph.D. in music, with the thesis ''Horea în grumaz. Considerații teoretice și practice ale interpretării genului dintr-o perspectivă stilistică''. From 2005 he was an associated teacher of ethnomusicology at the University of Bucharest. One year later, in 2006, he started doing shows for the public national radio and the public national television, for which he was awarded with national and international prizes in journalism. In 2007 he received the great prize of the Romanian Association of Television Professionals (APTR), in 2009 the prize for cultural journalism awarded by Radio Romania, and in 2009 he was nominated at the International Shanghai Film and Television Festival. Leše, Prevalje
Leše () is a village in the hills southwest of Prevalje in the Carinthia region in northern Slovenia. Mass graves Leše is the site of two known mass graves from the period immediately after the Second World War. They are located west of the settlement on the Prist farm, where the Leše coal mine ran under the property, causing many sinkholes in the area. They contain the remains of about 100 Austrian citizens (including ethnic Slovenes) as well as an unknown number of Slovene citizens from the Meža Valley that were murdered on 21 and 22 May 1945. Leše, Tržič
Leše (, german: Leschach) is a village in the Municipality of Tržič in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Name Leše was attested in written sources in 1040 as ''silva que Leschahc nuncupator'' (and as ''predium Lêscah'' in 1050–63, and ''Loschach'' and ''Leschach'' in 1498). The name is derived from the plural demonym ''Lěščane'', derived from the word ''lěska'' 'hazel'. The name thus originally means 'people living by the hazel grove'. History During the Second World War, the school in Leše was burned by the Partisans in 1944. A new school was built after the war. Church The local church is dedicated to Saint James ( sl, sveti Jakob). It dates from 1822 and contains paintings by Matija Bradaška (1852–1915). Lese is a Central Sudanic language of northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as a name for the people who speak this language.
