Facebuster
A facebuster, also known as a faceplant, is generally a takedown move in professional wrestling in which an attacking wrestler forces their opponent down to the mat face-first without involving a headlock or facelock. A standard facebuster, also known as a jumping facebuster, involves the wrestler grabbing hold of the opponent's head/hair and dropping down to their knees, forcing the opponent's face into the mat. Variants Argentine facebuster The attacking wrestler places an opponent in an Argentine backbreaker rack, where the opponent is held face-up across both the shoulders of the wrestler. From here the wrestler falls sideways (towards the side where the opponent's head is held) while still holding the opponent's head with one arm and flipping the opponent's legs over with the other, driving them down to the mat face-first.  WWE wrestler Bianca Belair uses this move and calls it ''K.O.D (Kiss Of Death)''. Former WWE wrestler ''Tyler Reks'' used the move as the ''Burnin ...

Professional Wrestling Holds
Professional wrestling holds include a number of set moves and pins used by performers to immobilize their opponents or lead to a submission. This article covers the various pins, stretches and transition holds used in the ring. Some wrestlers use these holds as their finishing maneuvers, often nicknaming them to reflect their character or persona. Moves are listed under general categories whenever possible. Stretches An element borrowed from professional wrestling's catch wrestling origins, stretches (or submission holds) are techniques in which a wrestler holds another in a position that puts stress on the opponent's body. Stretches are usually employed to weaken an opponent or to force them to ''submit'', either vocally or by ''tapping out'': slapping the mat, floor, or opponent with a free hand three times. Many of these holds, when applied vigorously, stretch the opponent's muscles or twist their joints uncomfortably, hence the name. Chokes, although not in general stress pos ...

As the wrestler falls onto their back they forces the opponent's arm down into both knees, thus damaging it. Arm drag A move in which the wrestler uses t ...

DDT (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling a DDT is any move in which the wrestler has the opponent in a front facelock/inverted headlock and falls down or backwards to drive the opponent's head into the mat. The classic DDT is performed by putting the opponent in a front facelock and falling backwards so that the opponent is forced to dive forward onto their head. Although widely credited as an invention of Jake Roberts, who gave the DDT its famous name, the earliest known practitioner of the move was Mexican wrestler Black Gordman, who frequently performed it during the 1970s before Roberts popularized it nationwide. Rumors abound as to what the letters DDT supposedly stood for, including ''Damien's Death Trap'', ''Damien's Death Touch'', ''Damien's Dinner Time'' (all named after Jake's pet python, Damien) Double Diarrhea Tightrope, ''Drape Drop Takedown'', ''Drop Down Town'', ''Downward Dome Thrust'', and ''Death Drop Technique''. When asked what DDT meant, Jake once famously replied "The En ...
