DoubleDrive
doubleDrive (abbreviated dD) was an American post-grunge band from Atlanta, Georgia. Biography Originally called MK Ultra, doubleDrive arrived on the music scene in their hometown of Atlanta in late 1996. After winning the award for Atlanta's "favorite metal/extreme" band in 1998, doubleDrive signed a record deal with MCA Records and subsequently released their first studio album, ''1000 Yard Stare'', in the U.S. in August 1999. In 2001, doubleDrive began recording a second album with producer John Kurzweg. However, the band parted with MCA Records and the completed album remained unreleased. After shopping the album, the band signed with Roadrunner Records and re-entered the studio in 2002 with producer Michael Barbiero to remix the album and record new songs. Roadrunner Records is a Dutch–American record label focused on Heavy metal music, heavy metal and hard rock music. Founded in the Netherlands in 1980, it is now a division of Warner Music Group and is based in New York City. Formerly seen as one of the most powerful independent metal labels of the 1980s and 1990s, it would eventually become a massive host of metal acts; most seen in ''Roadrunner United'' and the following live concert. John Kurzweg
John Kurzweg (born September 5, 1960) is an American record producer and musician who first became known for his work with successful post-grunge bands Creed and Puddle of Mudd in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Other artists he has worked with include Godsmack, Eagle Eye Cherry, Jewel, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, Socialburn, No Address, Hurt, DoubleDrive, Chelsea Bain as well as the Athens southern rock band Tishamingo. The total number of albums sold that Kurzweg has produced is currently over 40 million copies worldwide (over 58 million according to Creed Discography & Puddle of Mudd's '' Come Clean'') and along with these, Kurzweg produced and or mixed 12 number one hit singles at rock radio, eight top 10 rock radio hits and at least four others in the top 50. Stereomud
Stereomud was an American nu metal band from New York City and Georgia. They were active from years 1999 to 2003 before breaking up, releasing two albums—'' Perfect Self'' and '' Every Given Moment''. History Stereomud released their first album, '' Perfect Self'', on Columbia Records in 2001 and a video for the song "Pain" received airplay on MTV2. After extensive touring in support of that album, they went back into the studio, releasing '' Every Given Moment'' in April 2003. Black Label Society is an American heavy metal/southern metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1998 by guitarist/singer Zakk Wylde. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and three video albums.
