CommonFloor.com is an Indian real estate portal founded in 2007 by three computer science graduates from IIT Roorkee and JSSATE. On 8 January 2015, CommonFloor received funding from Google Capital. On 7 January 2016, the classifieds advertising platform Quikr Quikr, is an Indian online marketplace and classified advertising company, based in Bangalore, India. It was founded by Pranay Chulet. Quikr has listings in over 1000 cities in India in categories such as mobile phones, household goods, cars ... announced that they have acquired CommonFloor.com. Sumit Jain
Sumit Kumar Jain (born 13 June 1984) is an Indian software engineer and Internet entrepreneur. He started online real-estate portal Commonfloor.com for property seekers in 2007. Prior to that, he used to work with Oracle. As the co-founder and CEO, Sumit is responsible for driving the strategic direction for CommonFloor as well as delivering on company goals. On 7 January 2016, the classifieds advertising platform Quikr announced that they acquired CommonFloor. After 1 year of acquisition, Sumit moved out of Quikr. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (abbreviated IIT Roorkee) is a technical university located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India.
