Āne is a large village in Cena Parish, Jelgava Municipality in the Semigallia region of Latvia. The Battle of Ane (Dutch Low Saxon:''Slag bi'j Aone'', Dutch:''Slag bij Ane''), was fought in 1227 between Otto II of Lippe, Bishop of Utrecht, and Rudolf II van Coevorden with his army of Drenths. The suffix -ane in organic chemistry forms the names of organic compounds where the -C-C- group has been attributed the highest priority according to the rules of organic nomenclature. Such organic compounds are called alkanes. They are saturated hydrocarbons. The names of the saturated hydrides of non-metals end with the suffix -ane: the hydrides of silicon are called silanes SiH4; the hydrides of boron are boranes B2H6. The final "-e" is dropped before a suffix that starts with a vowel, e.g. "propanol". Alternatively, -ane may be used for a mononuclear hydride of an element. Anthro New England (ANE) is a furry convention that is held in the Greater Boston area of the U.S. state of Massachusetts. It was first held in 2015 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, but moved to the Boston Park Plaza in 2018 and has been held in Boston annually since then.
