Zdzisław Beksiński
Zdzisław Beksiński (; 24 February 192921 February 2005) was a Polish painter, photographer, and sculptor, specializing in the field of dystopian surrealism. Beksiński made his paintings and drawings in what he called either a Baroque or a Gothic manner. His creations were made mainly in two periods. The first period of work is generally considered to contain expressionistic color, with a strong style of "utopian realism" and surreal architecture, like a doomsday scenario. Zdzisława Donat-Pajda (born 4 July 1936, in Poznań) is a Polish coloratura soprano. She studied in Warsaw and Siena, where she was a pupil of Gino Bechi. Zdzisław Hoffmann (born 27 August 1959) is a retired triple jumper from Poland. He is best known for winning the gold medal at the inaugural 1983 World Championships, for which he was named Polish Sportspersonality of the Year at the end of the year. Career He was born in Świebodzin. He finished twelfth at the 1980 European Indoor Championships and competed at the 1980 Olympic Games without reaching the final. In 1983 he won the triple jump event at the inaugural 1983 World Championships. For this he was named the Polish Sportspersonality of the Year at the end of the year. He finished twelfth at the 1987 World Championships and eighth at the 1988 European Indoor Championships. Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak
Zdzisław Ludwik Krzyszkowiak (; 3 August 1929 – 23 March 2003) was a Polish track and field athlete, winner of the 3000 metre steeplechase at the 1960 Summer Olympics. Born in Wielichowo, Greater Poland Voivodeship, Krzyszkowiak won 13 Polish National Championship titles in long-distance and cross-country events. Krzyszkowiak rose to the international athletics scene at the 1956 Summer Olympics, where he missed the bronze medal in the 10,000 metres by 7.4 seconds, finishing fourth. At the 1958 European Championships in Athletics, Krzyszkowiak established himself as one of the best European long distance runners by winning both the 5000 and 10,000 metres. Zdzisław Piernik (; born 10 November 1937) is a Polish virtuoso tuba player. Biography Zdzisław Piernik graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Music in the class of . After being awarded at the 1970 National Festival of Young Musicians in Gdańsk he began his career as a soloist. Shortly afterwards he acquire success at recitals in the country and abroad, at festivals and holiday courses in Bayreuth, Witten, Darmstadt, Bourges, Stockholm, Los Angeles. Piernik was the first tubist in Poland to implement flageolets, glissandos, frullatos and chords into his playing. He also began sonoristic experiments with prepared tuba. He is the inventor of the original preparation, remodelling the instrument to sound far from its natural tone. Zdzisław Zbigniew Podkański (18 October 1949 – 18 February 2022) was a Polish politician. Biography Podkański was born Guzówka, Poland.
