Zoltán Szabó (botanist)
Zoltán Szabó (1882 -1944) was a Hungarian botanist, geneticist, and professor. He was a full member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His work covered many areas of botany, including plant taxonomy, plant morphology and anatomy, plant geography and floristics, agrobotany and mycology, but he achieved his most significant results in genetic research. Szabó edited the exsiccata ''Plantae imperii Hungarici''. In the taxonomic literature his name abbreviation is "Szabó". Career Szabó entered the Eötvös Loránd University in 1900, and obtained his doctorate at the University of Breslau in 1905, where he was assistant professor in the Department of Botany from 1905 to 1905. Zoltán Szabó (mathematician)
Zoltán Szabó (born November 24, 1965) is a professor of mathematics at Princeton University known for his work on Heegaard Floer homology. Education and career Szabó received his BA from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary in 1990, and he received his PhD from Rutgers University in 1994. Together with Peter Ozsváth, Szabó created Heegaard Floer homology, a homology theory for 3-manifolds. For this contribution to the field of topology, Ozsváth and Szabó were awarded the 2007 Oswald Veblen Prize in Geometry. Zoltán Szabó (Minister Of Defence)
Zoltán Szabó de Kisjolsva (18 July 1858 – 3 November 1934) was a Hungarian politician and military officer, who served as Minister of Defence in the counter-revolutionary government against the Hungarian Soviet Republic. Career Szabó attended Theresian Military Academy since 1875 finished his military studies on 24 April 1879. He participated in the World War I as commander of several infantry units. He was promoted to major-general and appointed commander of the 216th Infantry Brigade of the Royal Hungarian Honvéd, one of the armed forces of Austria-Hungary, on 18 May 1918. His infantry stationed near Slatina, Caracal and Corabia in Oltenia, Southern Romania as part of the Austro-Hungarian and German occupation force after August 1918. Zoltán Szabó (surgeon)
Zoltán Szabó (23 October 1929 – 6 December 2015) was a Hungarian heart surgeon, cardiologist, and professor emeritus of the Városmajor Heart and Vascular Centre. Szabo served as the Director of the Városmajor Heart and Vascular Centre from 1981 until 1992. In January 1992, he performed Hungary's first successful heart transplant following years of research. Szabó retired from the Városmajor Heart and Vascular Centre on 1 July 1992. He then served as the director of Biotronik Hungária Kft from 1992 until 2004. Zoltan Sabo
Zoltan Sabo ( sr-cyr, Золтан Сабо; ; 26 May 1972 – 15 December 2020) was a Serbian professional footballer who played as a defender, and later manager. He also held Hungarian citizenship. Playing career In his homeland, Sabo played for Hajduk Kula, Vojvodina, and Partizan, before moving abroad to South Korea and signing for Suwon Samsung Bluewings in early 2000. He left the club after two years to play for Japanese side Avispa Fukuoka. In early 2003, Sabo returned to Europe and joined Hungarian club Zalaegerszeg until the end of the season. He also played for AEK Larnaca in the 2003–04 campaign. In 2004, he returned to Serbia and signed with second-tier side Mladost Apatin.
