United Front (China)
The united front is a political strategy of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) involving networks of groups and key individuals that are influenced or controlled by the CCP and used to advance its interests. It has historically been a popular front that has included eight Democratic parties (China), legally permitted political parties and People's organization, people's organizations which have nominal representation in the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Huang Lixin (; born August 1962) is a Chinese politician currently serving as chairwoman of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress. Previously she served as chairwoman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairwoman of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
