Xbox 360 Applications
Xbox 360 applications are non-game software applications designed to run on the Xbox 360 platform. Xbox 360 applications can either be stored on the console's hard disk drive or on a USB flash drive. Often, an Xbox Live Gold membership is also required to access some applications, as well as subscriptions correspondent to the applications. Some of these applications are country specific.Certain region specific applications, such as Sky Go, can be downloaded by overseas subscribers via an account based on the region the application is available in. Most applications are region-locked and can only be downloaded in that region. Note, this list is dated as the Xbox 360 Store shut down on July 29, 2024, thus these apps can no longer be downloaded, and a large majority of them no longer function as of July 2022. BYUtv is an American television channel and free family-friendly streaming service, founded in 2000, which is owned and operated as a part of Brigham Young University (BYU). The channel, available on most smart TVs or through cable and satellite distributors in the United States, produces original series and documentaries, including in the genres of comedy, history, lifestyle, music and drama. BYUtv also regularly broadcasts feature films, nature documentaries, acquired dramas, and religious programs (consistent with the university's sponsoring organization, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Nine.com.au (formerly Ninemsn) is an Australian news website, owned by Nine Entertainment. It was originally established as a 50:50 joint venture between Microsoft and PBL Media (now Nine Entertainment) in 1997 as "Ninemsn." MUZU
MUZU was an Irish video hosting website that hosted music videos. It offered a catalog of online music videos licensed from record labels and generated revenue through advertising. In October 2015, the company announced its liquidation. Company history Before the launch, Sony BMG agreed to allow more than 6,000 videos by artists, such as The Ting Tings and Kylie Minogue, to be featured on the site. TalkTalk TV Store (formerly blinkbox) was a UK-based transactional (purchase and rental) video-on-demand (VoD) service available on Macintosh and Microsoft Windows computers, games consoles, tablet computers and Smart TVs. Content was generally streamed, with downloading possible on Windows PC/laptops. The blinkbox brand had been extended to companion services offering digital music and books. Tesco bought an 80% stake in the business in 2011 as part of a move into digital content. Movistar TV is a subscription television service operated by Telefónica. Currently, the service is available in Chile, Peru, Colombia, El Salvador, Venezuela and Argentina. In Spain, this service merged with the satellite platform Canal+, resulting in a new platform called Movistar+.
