Laura Kinney (designation X-23) is a fictional superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, commonly in association with Wolverine (character), Wolverine, whose codename she has also used, and the X-Men. The character was created by writer Craig Kyle for the ''X-Men: Evolution'' television series in 2003, before debuting in the ''NYX (comics), NYX'' comic series in 2004. ''X-23'' is a comic book series written by Marjorie Liu, published by Marvel Comics. It was the first ongoing series for the character Laura Kinney, better known as X-23. Publication history The series was prompted by the success of Liu's one-shot ''X-23 (one-shot), X-23'' from earlier in the year. The series ran for 21 issues. Plot "The Killing Dream" X-23 begins having apocalyptic nightmares involving a demonic Wolverine asking her to be his "right hand in hell." ''X-23'' is a 2018 comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It is the fourth volume entitled X-23. Publication history In June 2015, it was announced that following that year's "Secret Wars" storyline, Laura would take on the Wolverine mantle, as the main character in the series '' All-New Wolverine'', by writer Tom Taylor and artist David López, and wearing a costume resembling Wolverine's but with the return of the original Wolverine her title was ended and a new volume was launched under ''X-23'' written by Mariko Tamaki and drawn by Juann Cabal. Tamaki said, "This is a story about being in the very weird kind of family that someone like Laura finds herself in. X-Force is a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men. Conceived by writer/illustrator Rob Liefeld, the team first appeared in ''New Mutants'' #100 (April 1991) and soon afterwards was featured in its own series called '' X-Force''. Craig Kyle
Craig Paul Kyle (born November 3, 1971) is an American writer for Marvel Comics. He is best known for his creation of the character X-23. He has also produced several of Marvel's direct-to-DVD animated films and worked on several aspects of the ''Thor'' film series. Life and career Kyle was born in Houston, Texas. He is a frequent collaborator with Christopher Yost, and they are perhaps best known for the creation of mutant character X-23, teenage female clone of Wolverine. In 2003, Kyle and Yost co-wrote the episodes of '' X-Men: Evolution'' that introduced X-23 to the ''X-Men: Evolution'' universe.
