Women's Refugee Commission
The Women's Refugee Commission is a 501(c)(3) Non-Governmental Organization that aims to improve the lives and protect the rights of Women, Children, and Youth displaced by conflict or crisis. Established in 1989 by Norwegian Actress and film Director Liv Ullmann and others, it was part of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) until 2014. The organization seeks to identify critical problems that affect displaced women, children, and youth. These include gaps in lifesaving reproductive health care, lack of dignified livelihoods for refugees and, in the United States, the treatment of people seeking asylum. Non-governmental Organization
A non-governmental organization (NGO) or non-governmental organisation (see spelling differences) is an organization that generally is formed independent from government. Liv Johanne Ullmann (born 16 December 1938) is a Norwegian actress and film director. International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian aid, relief, and development nongovernmental organization.
