Września railway station (German: ''Wreschen'') is a railway station serving the town of Września, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The station is located on the Warsaw–Kunowice railway and Oleśnica–Chojnice railway. The train services are operated by PKP and Koleje Wielkopolskie. The station is categorized as a grade D station. In the 1960s the station's red brick structure was plastered and repainted in beige, and the inside was completely renovated. The renovation of the façade was undertaken in December 2008. Września
Września () is a town in west-central Poland near Poznań, with 28,600 inhabitants (1995). It is situated in the Września County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, on the Wrześnica River. History Września was first mentioned in 1256 in a document issued in Poznań. Early sources speak of Wressna (1317) or Wresna (1364). Września was granted town privileges before 1357. It was a private town, owned by various szlachta, Polish nobles families, administratively located in the Kalisz Voivodeship (1314–1793), Kalisz Voivodeship of the Greater Poland Province, Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland. Warsaw–Kunowice Railway
The Warsaw–Kunowice railway is a 475-kilometer long railway line in Poland connecting Warsaw, Poznań through Łowicz, Kutno and further to the Polish-German border at Frankfurt an der Oder. The line is one of the longest and most important routes in Poland and is part of the European E20 (Berlin – Moscow) route. History The present day line consists of parts of different railways constructed during the 19th century when Poland was divided between the Russian Empire, Prussia and Austrian Empire, Austria. Kunowice () is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Słubice, within Słubice County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, near the Oder river and the German border. It lies approximately east of Słubice, south-west of Gorzów Wielkopolski, and north-west of Zielona Góra. History The village is located in the historic Lubusz Land, which formed part of Poland since the establishment of the state by the Piast dynasty in the 10th century.
