Jay Chou
Jay Chou Chieh-lun ( zh, s=周杰伦, t=周杰倫, first=t, p=Zhōu Jiélún; born 18 January 1979) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, actor, director, and businessman. Regarded as one of the most influential artists in the Chinese-speaking world, he is widely referred to as the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, King of Mandopop". Chou's works, which often Zhongguo feng (music), blend Eastern and Western styles, has been recognized for its impact on musical trends in the Greater China region. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; later influences came from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the campus folk song folk movement of the 1970s. "Mandopop" may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after " Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. "Mandopop" was used to describe Mandarin-language popular songs of that time, some of which were versions of Cantopop songs sung by the same singers with different lyrics to suit the different rhyme and tonal patterns of Mandarin. The Era 2010 World Tour
The Era World Tour (Chinese: 超时代) was the fifth concert tour by Taiwanese recording artist Jay Chou, held in support of his tenth studio album '' The Era'' (2010). The tour visited various countries including Taiwan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada and the United States from June 2010 to December 2011. A live album of the tour recorded during the first concert in Taipei was released on January 25, 2011. Production Stage design The stage design for The Era World Tour combined elements of avant-garde futurism and medieval aesthetics. ''Opus 12'' () is the twelfth studio album by Taiwanese singer-songwriter Jay Chou, released on 28 December 2012 by JVR Music. The album was nominated for four Golden Melody Awards. Release and promotion On 5 December 2012, the album's lead single "Hong-Chen Inn" premiered on Hit FM. Chou had previously performed an erhu solo from the song during The World Tour in 2007, which later evolved into "Hong-Chen Inn". On the same day, "Ming Ming Jiu," the album's second single, premiered on Beijing Music Radio. The album was made available for pre-order starting 12 December 2012, and was distributed in several formats: a "Hardcover Edition" and a "Limited USB Edition" (with a "Paperback Edition" also available). Vincent Fang (lyricist)
Vincent Fang (; born 26 January 1969) is a Taiwanese lyricist, best known for his collaboration with singer-songwriter Jay Chou. Fang has been nominated for multiple Golden Melody Awards, and won ''Best Lyricist'' at the 19th Golden Melody Awards for Jay Chou's "青花瓷" (Blue and White Porcelain) from '' On the Run''. He is considered to be at the forefront of China Wind music, with his works often treated as poetry of artistic merit that garners high critical regard. Jay Chou Albums
Jays are a paraphyletic grouping of passerine birds within the family Corvidae. Although the term "jay" carries no taxonomic weight, most or all of the birds referred to as jays share a few similarities: they are small to medium-sized, usually have colorful feathers and are quite noisy. These superificial characteristics set them apart from most other corvids such as crows, ravens, jackdaws, rooks and magpies, which are larger and have darker plumage.
