Workers' Gymnasium
The Workers' Gymnasium (official name) is an indoor arena located west of the Workers' Stadium in Beijing, China. It was inaugurated in 1961 for the 26th World Table Tennis Championships. It hosted the boxing events at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the Judo events at the 2008 Summer Paralympics. It is one of 11 Beijing-based venues to be renovated and upgraded for the Olympics. The arena has a seating capacity of 13,000. Scorpions (band)
Scorpions are a German hard rock band formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. The longest-running and most successful line-up of the band included Schenker, Klaus Meine (vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums), and lasted from 1978 to 1992. T-ara Great China Tour
T-ara Great China Tour was the fifth tour by South Korean girl group T-ara and their first in China. It began in Shanghai on and concluded in the same city on November 25, 2014. In October 2015, T-ara became the first South Korean artist to hold a concert in Hefei. The final stop in Shanghai drew a crowd of 12,000 attendees and was watched by nearly 2 million viewers in China alone through the streaming platform Panda TV. Originally T-ara were planned to perform in 13 cities, however, due to schedule conflicts, the tour was reduced to 6 shows only. The Never Ending Tour is the popular name for Bob Dylan's endless touring schedule since June 7, 1988. In 2011, Dylan played a total of 89 shows, split across four legs, with shows in Asia, Oceania, Europe, and the US. Background The tour started off with a concert in Taiwan, the first of Dylan's career. Then he, along with his band, performed two concerts in China, one in Beijing and one in Shanghai. These concerts were controversial and deemed by the media as Dylan 'selling out'. Dylan however did not see it that way at all. The concerts amongst the Chinese audience were successful.
