Women's Euro Hockey League
The Women's Euro Hockey League is the newest annual women's field hockey tournament organised by the European Hockey Federation, EHF for the very top hockey clubs in Europe. The competition was supposed to start in 2020 replacing the old EuroHockey Club Champions Cup (women), EuroHockey Club Cup. The first edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. The tournament has only been won by Dutch teams with HC 's-Hertogenbosch, Den Bosch claiming three and Amsterdamsche Hockey & Bandy Club, Amsterdam two titles. Format The tournament is held at the same location as the men's Final 8. For the first time the women's competition will be fully produced for television and there will be a Umpire (field_hockey)#Video Umpires, video umpire. Original format (2020–2024) The new tournament had the same format as the old EuroHockey Club Cup. The EuroHockey Club Champions Cup, previously known as the European Club Championship, was the leading woman's field hockey competition for clubs in Europe. The competition was first contested in 1974, and played out its last edition in 2019. The competition is replaced by the Women's Euro Hockey League. 2022 Women's Euro Hockey League
The 2022 Women's Euro Hockey League was the second edition of the Women's Euro Hockey League, Europe's premier women's club field hockey tournament, organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was contested alongside the men's tournament at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands from 15 to 18 April 2022. Den Bosch, who entered the event as the defending champions, reached the finals, where they were defeated 3–2 by Amsterdam in a shoot-out after the match finished 2–2 in regular time. Junior won their first EHL medal by defeating Gantoise 2–1 in the bronze medal match. Association team allocation A total of 8 teams from 6 of the 45 EHF member associations would participate in the 2022 EHL Women. Men's Euro Hockey League
The Euro Hockey League is an annual field hockey cup competition organized by the EHF for the very top field hockey clubs in Europe. The competition was launched at the start of the 2007-08 field hockey season when it merged and replaced the men's EuroHockey Club Champions Cup (the champions competition) and the EuroHockey Cup Winners Cup (the Cup Winners' competition). Featuring many of the world's best players, the EHL is now seen as the pinnacle of club hockey in Europe (hockey's equivalent of the UEFA Champions League) with top clubs from across the continent playing what many consider to be the most exciting and dynamic club hockey in the world. Braxgata Hockey Club, also known as Braxgata, is a Belgian professional sports club club based in Boom. The club is most well known for its field hockey section, with both the first men's and women's teams playing as part of the Belgian Hockey League. History Braxgata was founded in 1981. In 1997, it was named by the Royal Belgian Hockey Association as ''Club of the Year''. Since 2005, Braxgata has found its home in De Schorre. In 2007, Braxgata organized (together with the Royal Belgian Hockey Association) the Champions Challenge . The Belgian Red Lions participated, but finished in sixth place. Stichtsche Cricket en Hockey Club, commonly known as SCHC, is a Dutch professional sports club based in Bilthoven, Utrecht. The club was founded on 22 November 1906.
