Wisconsin's 32nd Senate District
Wisconsin's 32nd Senate district is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in western Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Crawford County, as well as nearly all of La Crosse and Vernon counties, and most of the southern half of Monroe County. It includes the cities of La Crosse, Onalaska, Prairie du Chien, and Viroqua. Current elected officials Brad Pfaff is the current senator representing the 32nd district. He was elected in the 2020 general election. Before his election as senator, he served nearly two years as Acting Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. The 94th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in western Wisconsin, the district comprises most of La Crosse County, Wisconsin, La Crosse County. Clark County, Wisconsin
Clark County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 34,659. Its county seat is Neillsville. History By the early 1800s, the land and streams that are now Clark County were the hunting grounds of Chippewa, Dakota, Ho-Chunk and possibly Menominee peoples. In 1836 these Indians were joined by a party of French-Canadian fur traders who started a temporary post for the American Fur Company on the Black River's East Fork. The next White arrival was probably Mormon loggers in 1844, come to cut pine logs from the forests along the Black River and float them down to a sawmill at Black River Falls. From there the sawed wood would be floated down the river to be used in construction of the Mormon temple in Nauvoo, Illinois. They had camps on the river at what is called Mormon Riffle, a mile below Neillsville, near Weston's Rapids, and south of Greenwood. Chippewa County, Wisconsin
Chippewa County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is named for the historic Chippewa people, also known as the Ojibwe, who long controlled this territory. As of the 2020 census, the population was 66,297. Its county seat is Chippewa Falls. The county was founded in 1845 from Crawford County, then in the Wisconsin Territory, and organized in 1853. Buffalo County, Wisconsin
Buffalo County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 13,317. Its county seat is Alma. The county was created in 1853 and organized the following year. History Buffalo County, founded in 1853, is named for the Buffalo River, which flows from Strum to Alma, where it empties into the Mississippi River. The Buffalo River obtained its name from the French voyager Father Louis Hennepin, who named it ''Riviere des Boeufs'' in 1680. The first permanent settlement was established in 1839, located in what is now Fountain City. Durand is a city in and the county seat of Pepin County, Wisconsin, United States. Situated on the banks of the Chippewa River approximately from its confluence with the Mississippi River, the city borders the Town of Durand. The population was 1,854 at the 2020 census. Derrick Van Orden
Derrick Francis Van Orden (born September 15, 1969) is an American politician, businessman, actor, and retired United States Navy SEAL who is the U.S. representative for Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district. Career Van Orden served in the United States Navy SEALs from 1988 to 2014. Political involvement Van Orden was the Republican nominee for Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district in the 2020 election, narrowly losing to incumbent Democrat Ron Kind. Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District
Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district covers most of the Driftless Area in southwestern and western Wisconsin. The district includes the cities of Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Stevens Point, as well as many Wisconsin-based exurbs of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. It borders the states of Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. Republican Derrick Van Orden has represented the district since 2023. The political nature of the district is moderate, given its combination of an overall rural and suburban character counterbalanced by two significant urban centers (Eau Claire and La Crosse) and the Twin Cities suburbs. Loren Oldenburg
Loren Oldenburg (born September 8, 1965) is an American politician, currently serving in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Vernon County, Crawford County, and the southern half of Monroe County. A Republican, he was first elected in 2018. Biography Oldenburg was born in Viroqua, Vernon County, Wisconsin. A fourth generation farmer, he was raised and still resides on a 315-acre farm in Vernon County passed down from his great grandfather. Oldenburg graduated from Viroqua High School in 1984 and the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He was active within his community, as a member and president of the Westby Cooperative Creamery, and, for the last 19 years, as a member and president of the Chaseburg Cenex Cooperative. He was elected to the Town Board of Harmony, Vernon County, and served as the Town Board Chairman.
