Wintertime
Winter is the coldest and darkest season of the year in temperate climate, temperate and Polar regions of Earth, polar climates. It occurs after autumn and before spring (season), spring. The Axial tilt#Earth, tilt of Earth's axis causes seasons; winter occurs when a Hemispheres of Earth, hemisphere is oriented away from the Sun. Different cultures define different dates as the start of winter, and some use a definition based on weather. When it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere, it is summer in the Southern Hemisphere, and vice versa. Standard Time
Standard time is the synchronization of clocks within a geographical region to a single time standard, rather than a local mean time standard. Generally, standard time agrees with the local mean time at some meridian that passes through the region, often near the centre of the region. Historically, standard time was established during the 19th century to aid weather forecasting and train travel. Applied globally in the 20th century, the geographical regions became time zones. The standard time in each time zone has come to be defined as an UTC offset, offset from Universal Time. A further offset is applied for part of the year in regions with daylight saving time. Winter Time (clock Lag)
Winter time is the practice of shifting the clock behind standard time during winter months, usually −1 hour. It is the opposite of daylight saving time in that the different time is in effect during winter months, rather than the usual case where the different time is in effect during summer months. However, while summer time is widely applied, use of winter time has been and is very rare. Czechoslovakia Winter time was applied in Czechoslovakia by government ordinance no. 213/1946 Sb. from 1 December 1946 (3:00→2:00) to 23 February 1947 (2:00→3:00), authorized by act 212/1946 Sb., ("about the winter time"). ''Wintertime'' is a 1943 Twentieth Century-Fox musical film directed by John Brahm and starring Sonja Henie and Cesar Romero. It also features Woody Herman and His Orchestra. Plot Norwegian millionaire Ostgaard ( S.Z. Sakall) and his niece Nora (Sonja Henie) believe they will be staying at a posh resort in Canada, but it turns out owner Skip Hutton (Jack Oakie) and partner Freddy Austin (Cornel Wilde) are in debt and barely holding off foreclosure. Nora schemes to get her uncle to invest in hotel improvements. ''Kayak'' is the second album by the Dutch progressive rock band Kayak. It was originally released in 1974 and reissued by Pseudonym with a bonus track in 1995. At first, the title was to be "His Master's Noise". But the band expected problems with the record label His Master's Voice (British record label), His Master's Voice, and so they chose simply ''Kayak''. The album is also known as ''Kayak (2nd Album)''. The song "Wintertime" was the only single release from this album. "Serenades" was the b-side for the single "We Are Not Amused". ''Christmas Blues'' is the third studio album and first Christmas-themed album by American singer Sabrina Claudio. It was released on November 27, 2020, through SC Entertainment and Atlantic and includes various original songs, as well as three cover songs. The album features guest appearances by the Weeknd and Alicia Keys. Background About works on the album, Claudio revealed that "we really had no idea where we'd end up...we were just creating because it felt good". The album was created in summer 2020 and was put together with the intention "to bring a "sense of peace"". The singer exclusively worked with singer-songwriter Nasri Atweh and producer Kaveh Rastegar on the album. She described the work with the former as "easy because I was with him". ''Book of Dreams'' is the tenth studio album by Steve Miller Band. The album was released in May 1977 on Capitol Records in the United States, Canada and Japan and by Mercury Records in Europe.
