Will Smith (footballer, Born 1998)
William Owen Smith (born 4 November 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club FC Halifax Town. Smith made his senior debut for Barnsley in the EFL Trophy in 2018, and spent time on loan at National League North club Darlington in 2018–19. He joined Harrogate Town in 2019, and helped them win the 2019–20 FA Trophy and gain promotion to the Football League for the first time in the club's history. He played regularly, injury permitting, during his first three seasons with Harrogate, and then spent time on loan to Scunthorpe United in 2022–23 and York City in 2023–24. Released by Harrogate in 2024, he signed for FC Halifax Town. Career Smith was born in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Simon Daniel Weaver (born 20 December 1977) is an English football manager and former player who is manager of League Two side Harrogate Town. As a player he was a defender from 1996 until 2012 and notably played in the Football League for Lincoln City between 2002 and 2004, he also briefly played in the league for Doncaster Rovers, Macclesfield Town and Kidderminster Harriers. Athletic pubalgia, also called sports hernia, core injury, hockey hernia, hockey groin, Gilmore's groin, or groin disruption, is a medical condition of the pubic joint affecting athletes. A charley horse is an American term for a very painful involuntary cramp, most commonly occurring in the legs (usually located in the calf muscle) and/or foot, lasting anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of days. The Football Association Challenge Trophy, also known as the Isuzu FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after The Football Association (the FA) and competed by mainly National League teams. The 2020 National League play-off final , known as the Vanarama National League Promotion Final for sponsorship reasons, was a football match contested between Harrogate Town and Notts County to determine the second and final team to gain promotion from the National League to EFL League Two. It was played on 2 August 2020 at Wembley Stadium in London.
